Of course, in order to work, the sticker needs to be battery-assisted and of small dimensions, and includes a small solar/PV panel to recharge the battery, which prevents the battery life of the NFC device from being adversely affected.

5.8.4.2. Internal

The “NFC add-on sticker” solution is designed to be added to a mobile device equipped with a SIM card. For example, the solution presented (see Figure 5.14) was designed to be inserted physically between the existing SIM card and its connector, so as to be mechanically and functionally unobtrusive to normal operation, and to superimpose tthe function of NFC when it is needed.
